Grab your winter coats, kids. It’s the inaugural season for the Anchorage Orcas.

I have been a scout for six months and currently manage seven players ranging from Tier B to D. I was the general manager for the Tier C Burlington Blue Devils through seasons 12 and 13 under the reputed radbytrade. The team reached the playoffs in both seasons and I hope the success will continue as I dive into team ownership.

We are ultimately seeking captains, showboats, dudes, and hotheads, but will consider all exceptional players. I sent out a bunch of contract offers today and will update the following list as players accept.

C - Francesco Wright
1B - Carlos Shaffer
2B - Coleman Wells
3B - Derik Blackburn
SS - Darren Mallinder
LF - Barry Brawn
CF - Trey Griffey
RF - So Spoogy
DH - Guess Who
B1 - Hans Taylor
B2 - Martin McFly
B3 - Johan Dare

SP1 - Belspac Bitufus
SP2 - Tom Maddux
SP3 - Bill Dangerfield
SP4 - Julian Avila
SP5 - Luther Cleen

CL - Don Glover
LR - Abel Barry
MR1 - Rex Graves
MR2 - Ryuk Yagami
MR3 - Trent Smith
MR4 - Rowdy Bush
SU1 - Jay Maddux
SU2 - Cornelius Fitch

My first wave of contract offers were submitted this evening. Many are still pending, while four slots were filled.

The team intangibles and salary is currently up in the air until this first wave is accepted, declined, or renegotiated. I still have several slots to fill, even if every contract proposal is accepted, but can't determine what personality types I need or what levels I can afford.

I intend to efficiently spend every dollar, fill every slot, and shoot for a 100% intangible score. Day one of Season 14 is Thursday, April 26th so there is still plenty of time before teams have to scramble.

My level 4 Dude Catcher, Pha Thiha, is looking to make it with a Human team this season. I'm also more than willing to accept any role you have for him. Building him so that he becomes a monster in time.

I appreciate all of those who responded as well as those who sent messages to my inbox. Hopefully you all can forgive me for not responding to each of you directly, but I have been scrambling to fill this roster.

My second wave of contract proposals are currently out. I am still waiting on several players to accept or reject my offers, otherwise the team is still on track to fill every roster spot and spend every dollar. Here is my current shopping list of personality types:

1 Dude, 1 Surly

If your player's personality type is on this list and the position is available, then I would like to consider them. Truth be told, if all of my current contract offers are accepts then I will be forced sign level one players for my bench and bullpen. We shall see.

Patience is a virtue, but impatience pays the bills. Hurry up!

*edit... Personality list updated

The Orca team roster is almost filled! I updated my two posts from above, but will reiterate our team needs here.

We have three spots available for relief pitchers in the level 3-4 range and a spot on our bench for a level 1 player. We should have some personality type flexibility:

professional+professional+professional... dude+hothead+surly... captain+showboat+whiz kid...
I could keep going, but let's just agree there are a lot of combinations.

All tier D eligible players who can return next season will be invited back as long as we see you training and spending your skill points. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Only one roster spot left for the Orcas! OOOOOOooooooOOOOoooooo... [/whale]

We have a slot available on our bench. I need either a dude, showboat, or surly personality type. The player will earn $17,600 for the season, which is either the default salary for a level one player or the minimum for a level two.

Who wants to win?

The Anchorage Orcas are all set to make some waves in season 14. The roster is full, every penny of our salary was spent, and our intangibles are sitting pretty at 100.

I want to thank everyone who submitted their interest to join and wish everyone luck this season!
