Season 16 Begins!

Postby Walter » Tue Jul 24, 2012 6:55 pm

This is one of the most exciting (and exhausting) seasons coming up in Two Out Rally history for reasons Travis mentioned last week .... we filmed a Kickstarter video and will have a campaign starting within the next week or so. We obviously have a few separate hopes attached to this project: one is to draw some attention to our little corner of the web here that we've all cultivated together, another is to raise some funds to do the animation for the player creator (which we hope we can turn into animations for the gamecast system itself). Needless to say, we're proud of it and try not to mock me too much in the video ... as soon as it's up and running, I'll post a link to it in this thread ... and needless to say, you'll be happy I toned it down from the original 1080p resolution. Yikes.

Like Travis mentioned, a much cleaner training tool is in place, which is our biggest addition this year. Training a lot of players has always been a point of some consternation (and believe me, it's a big script) but hopefully this will help you out.

Anyhow, free agency, contracts, team promotions have all been processed and we are ready for the signings to begin. Best of luck to all players old and new in the upcoming season, and try to stay cool, wherever you are.

Hey guys - both my teams (cheesybeards and wanabees) have pitchers on the roster that were either players from last season on a one year contract, or new human players who have not been offered contracts... (apologies for lack of links - on a tablet and can't copy paste link)

Yes, free agents who should be listed as such are still showing as on previous team. Also, players who should have promoted did not.

I even tried to release contracts of players, but they are stuck.

The old pitching rotations should be cleared out now.

If a team promotes all contracts are dissolved since they are going into a new team with different contract mechanics.

Yes, that's fine. My issue is that my player, Doc Denning, for example, who should now be in C, is still listed as being under contract for the Muskies, but he has no contract, and the Muskies are a D team. So I cannot sign him.

This is the same for many, many players.

What I'm trying to say is that a player that should NOT be under contract with a team is still being listed as such, and yet has no contract tab.

Yea, it is our first season change with the new contract system. Not very surprising that there was an issue. Thanks for your patience!

Thank you for fixing it same night. That was a huge roadblock, so your speed is appreciated...the first days of free agency are manic.

It is really starting to suck that all these contract offers have errors in them. Every year it is the same. I now have offers sent to me but they don't show up.

Are you certain the owner did not have multiple contract offers out for the same position? If another player accepts the contract before you, then the contract offer is removed from your player's page because it is no longer available. Meanwhile, the mail indicating you had an offer will remain in your inbox.

If you're sure this isn't the case, then I am not sure what sort of error you are encountering.

I know for certain that this happened with Bob Uecker.

Bingo. The game schedule indicates the following: "All simulations take place at 00:00/24:00 CST/CDT."

You can access the link to the Full Schedule on your respective league page in the section entitled Tonight's Games.

I see no changes in either the team training or individual training tabs. Tier A training is a nightmare of clicks if you want to optimize with 8k training. the easy solution is x times 8k training. I hope this is what you mean by a "cleaner" training tool. I have millions in unused Tier A training since I am unwilling to click that much for each of my 24 TIer A players
