Team/Player Salary Data

Postby sendekyo » Tue Mar 13, 2012 12:01 pm

My apologies if this has been asked before, but I did scan the forums for any threads talking about salary or payroll.

I know every team has to deal with a salary cap, and that amount is determined depending upon their tier. I found the first four tier's salary cap data on the thread here, but have not seen how high the cap is for WBL if anyone could share it.

I also realize a player earns a minimum salary that is dependent upon their level, though I do not know that amount, nor how it scales as you graduate by tier. I helped manage the preseason of a tier C team this preseason and noticed the contracts were on a linear scale that progressively went up by $4,800 per level. I did not handle the contracts, so I'm not sure where the minimum scale starts and ends (11-20). On the other hand, I presume there is also a maximum salary a player can earn and have no idea what that may be.

If you are an administrator, then maybe you can help me. If you are a team owner, co-owner, or manager, then maybe you can help me. I'm adding a link to a google document which you can help by inputting data you have on hand or know offhand. The information I gather here will help make the spreadsheet I am creating help prepare for the preseason and help stock our teams much easier. Thank you.

Thank you for the tier D data, Peter Jahn!

Thanks for the WBL cap clarification, spotmonkey!

I'm noticing a possible trend from the data gathered so far, but would love to see more data submitted before I jump to any conclusions.

Someone inputted their thoughts on the Tier B level 21 minimum salary as well as the level 30 maximum salary. Whoever you were, thank you, because you confirmed my hypothesis and allowed me to predict the trend.

Tier D has a $600K cap. The lowest salary is $16K and the highest salary is $33.6K with a variance of $1.6K, which is 1/10th the minimum salary.

Tier C has a $1.8M cap, which is 3 times higher than D. All of the salary values are simply 3 times higher than D.

Tier B has a $5.4M cap, which is 3 times higher than C. All of the salary values are simply 3 times higher than C.

That trend ends at Tier A and the WBL, which is where I am now requesting some additional insight if any managers can spare some time to share their data. Thank you.

If its individual i can tell you that i have 2 players in tier A one on a CPU team the other on a Human team. And their current earnings are as follow:

Player on CPU Team makes- $432k total and $13500 daily.
Player on Human Team makes- $864k total and $27000 daily.

I'm replying to this in the intended thread in order to keep my other post on topic.

Team salary caps were a question originally, but has since been answered.

A player's individual salary can be determined depending upon their level. The data you provided would be helpful (regardless if your player is signed by a CPU or human team), however I can not be certain what level they were when signed. The CPU team would have offered the default salary, while the human team may have fallen somewhere in the min/max range.

Sorry my bad should of posted here.

Their level was the same 49 for both when signed, and the player signed with the Human team was the last player to have signed with said team, so im thinking the owner would be very near is salary cap?!? CPU is the same Salary level dont make a diference i would think only Tier?

I say this because i already had that same player signed in the same Tier before i had to leave the game for some months with a much higher amount of salary. Cant precise how much since i do not remenber but it was way more.

EDIT- Previous post on the "2OR ESR Estimates" as been deleted to prevent more offtopics.

On second thought, I'm considering abandoning this project after re-reading Travis's previous post. I realize now that I may be attempting to learn about a dying animal and should probably wait for season 14.
Travis wrote:We have two major development priorities for next season. The first is overhauling the contract system. We want to make it more simplified and interesting. If we do it the way we want, salaries will no longer be attached to player level, but will be decided on how much the manager thinks the player is worth. Mangers could always adjust the salaries up and down, but the ranges were always attached to the player's level. There will be more safeguards in place to make it easier to stay inside the league cap, and we might even open up bonuses to the lower tiers.
