The Midnight Marauder's Emerge Victorious from the Talented D-1 Pool.
The Tier D Champion Phoenix, Midnight Marauders are possibly the least likely Champions we have seen this season. Few if any thought that going into the playoffs as the #4 seed and starting off against the team with the best record in the league, in the Torrence Wildfire, would lead to anything but an early out for the team of pirate beauties.
I can't help but get the feeling opposing player's, (such as the Dragon's who didn't manage to score the entire series after a dominant regular season) spent much more time watching their opponents in the field than they did keeping their eyes on the ball while at the plate.
